Leigh Adams has won Speedway Grand Prix round two from Leszno in Poland. In front of 24,000 spectators the Australian dropped just four points in his five qualifying rides before reigning victorious in a fiercely contested semi final.
Adams conjured a brilliant getaway from gate two in the final race and from that point one utilized the widening Leszno dirt line.
The results elevates Adams to fourth in the overall standings with 25 points, eight behind series leader and current World Champion Nicki Pedersen.
Reaction from Leigh:
‘This really is awesome, especially to win in Leszno, my home Polish league track. The result is huge for me and I must thank my mechanics and support team for doing such a professional job this weekend. I swapped machinery half way through the meeting and from that point on I was on the gas. My Grand Prix campaign starts here, I’ve parked the result in Slovenia and we are now on our way."
